COLOURFUL The Voices of Windrush - Sitting in Limbo
In this episode, anchored by journalist Sinai Fleary and Windrush Campaigner Patrick Vernon OBE, we talk to Anthony Bryan for the second time in a year but this time about TV Drama 'Sitting In Limbo', produced by his own brother Stephen S Thompson, which aired on BBC1, Monday 8th June.
Anthony Bryan is a survivor of the Windrush scandal which saw hundreds of Caribbean people in the UK wrongly and unlawfully targeted by immigration enforcement because of the government’s “hostile environment” policies.
We also discuss the Windrush Compensation Scheme and ask if it's fit for purpose? Human Rights Lawyer Jacqui Mckenzie, and Windrush Campaigner and Survivor Glenda Caesar, tells us what they think about the scheme and the people administering it.
