Consultation for a Neighbourhood Forum in Brent
The Neighbourhood Forum consultation is part of the Legacy of Brent Fair Share Trust to develop parts of the Harlesden, Stonebridge and Dudden Hill Ward.
Patrick Vernon OBE, former Fair Share Trust Brent advisory panel member and now member of the proposed neighborhood Forum, is working to develop a neighborhood forum as part of the legacy of Brent Fair Share Trust which has been operating as a community development agency with funding from Big Lottery since 2003, working in the former local authority wards Church End and Roundwood (now Dudden Hill and Harlesden Ward).
The forum plans fit in with the council’s vision for Brent, and will play a key role in the delivery of the council’s core strategy to develop the growing area. This will put the borough in a position to attract funding, form partnerships and to buy or have assets.
Under the Localism Act 2011 the trust has requested a formal application to enable the area to be a designated Neighbourhood Forum to develop leadership and capacity skills for local people; attract funding such as Big Lottery and develop a neighbourhood plan around environment considerations and planning developments.
