Black Thrive Global are co-hosting an online community meeting about how communities are involved in overseeing their police service and holding it to account.
On 27th February 2023, Jacqui Dyer, Black Thrive Global Director will be joined by
Professor Patrick Vernon OBE, Social Commentator to discuss what needs to change to make sure communities can effectively engage with and hold the police accountable.
This forum is part of the Mayor of London’s commitment to deliver ‘An overhaul of community engagement and scrutiny structures to ensure that London’s diverse communities are better represented’.
Vouchers for taking part
Listen to what the leaders think and have your say. Join an online focus group to share your ideas and vote on what the changes needed so that communities can hold the police accountable for their actions. Everyone who joins the online focus group from 7PM-7:45PM will receive a £10 high street voucher for taking part. People whose ideas are voted as the best will receive an additional £25 high street voucher that can be used in stores like Argos, Boots, WHSmith, Asda and National Express.
