Grenadians for Jamaica Hurricane Melissa Relief

In a powerful show of regional unity, the Grenadian community in the UK is stepping forward to support Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa. The campaign, titled “Grenadians for Jamaica – Hurricane Melissa Relief Donation Drive,” reflects the shared Caribbean spirit of compassion, resilience, and togetherness.

This initiative aims to collect essential supplies to help families in Jamaica rebuild their lives after the devastating storm.

Donation Drive Details

📅 Date: Saturday, 8th November 2025
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Livesey Exchange, 567 Old Kent Road, London, SE1 5EW

The drive is a collaboration between King Jab Int’l, QT 2Hype, and the Nutmeg Mace Spice Association, with support from community sponsors and logistics partners including LEX2, Logistics Solutions, Radiate Festival, and PEM People.


How You Can Help

The organisers are calling on everyone to contribute new and unused essential items that will directly assist families affected by the hurricane.

Every donated item brings comfort and dignity to someone facing hardship — helping families find stability and hope in the wake of loss.

At its core, this initiative embodies the timeless Caribbean motto: “One Love, One Caribbean.” Though separated by distance, the people of Grenada and Jamaica remain united by shared values of kinship and mutual aid.

This campaign not only supports the physical rebuilding of communities but also reinforces the bonds of solidarity across the Caribbean diaspora.
