A UK Call for Voices on Hurricane Melissa

In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, the focus is shifting from immediate relief to understanding long-term impact and the role communities play in recovery.

A UK-wide survey is now inviting young people (18–35), organisations, and community groups across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland to share their experiences and contributions. The goal is to highlight how the UK diaspora and its allies supported Jamaica, and to turn those insights into stronger future response and advocacy efforts.

This initiative aims to capture the impact of Hurricane Melissa and highlight the vital role played by the UK diaspora and its allies in supporting Jamaica in the aftermath. The insights gathered will contribute to learning, strengthen advocacy efforts, and help shape future support initiatives.

Those who have not yet participated are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share it within their networks.
