Celebrating Achievement and Future Impact at the University of Wolverhampton

Patrick Vernon, Pro Chancellor at the University of Wolverhampton, described it as a real honour to join Professor Ebrahim Adia DL BA (Hons) PhD, Vice Chancellor of the University, at a recent graduation celebration recognising student achievement across vital public service disciplines.

The event marked an important milestone for students who have completed their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in mental health, social work, public health, and occupational health fields that play a critical role in strengthening communities, improving wellbeing, and advancing social justice.

In his role as Pro Chancellor, Patrick Vernon took time to speak directly with graduates, offering personal congratulations and acknowledging both the dedication it took to reach this moment and the meaningful careers that lie ahead. He reflected on the responsibility and opportunity these graduates now hold as they move into professions that support individuals, families, and society at large.

The celebration was not only about academic success, but also about recognising purpose, resilience, and the commitment to making a difference — values that are central to the University of Wolverhampton’s mission.

Looking ahead, Patrick Vernon expressed his anticipation for the formal summer graduation ceremony in July, where graduates will once again be celebrated alongside their families, friends, and the wider university community.

As these new professionals step forward into their next chapters, the University proudly recognises their achievements and the positive impact they are set to make in the years to come.
