Join us on Friday, 31st October, from 6–9pm at the Wolverhampton Art Gallery for a special Friday Lates takeover celebrating Black History Month.

This event, hosted by The Black History & Heritage Trail and Website, marks the launch of their brand-new walk in Wolverhampton, a journey through the city’s rich tapestry of Black history, resilience, and achievement. The trail will highlight untold stories, cultural milestones, and creative contributions that have shaped Wolverhampton and the wider Black Country.

Expect an evening filled with food, workshops, and ceremonies, all dedicated to honouring this new community resource. Walk the trail. Share your story. Celebrate our heritage.

All activities are free and open to everyone.

Patrick Vernon is a social commentator and campaigner and has been at the forefront of several high-profile campaigns on cultural heritage and social justice in the UK over the last decade. He has used experience in senior management in the voluntary and public sector plus his passion in for cultural history to develop new models of thinking around transformation changes in service development, equalities, innovative thinking for social change. He is a trained life coach and mediator where his experience and knowledge has been used for leadership development and public speaking from grass roots organisations to public and private bodies.
