The Caribbean Nurses and Midwives Association (UK) (CNMA UK) continues its mission to empower and uplift healthcare professionals of Caribbean heritage with an inspiring new event titled “Supporting & Shaping Our Future Leaders Through Leadership & Development.”

Scheduled for Thursday, 6th November 2025, this virtual gathering promises an evening of knowledge-sharing, inspiration, and professional growth. This zoom meeting will also talk how people working in healthcare can support the relief effort.

About the Event

The evening begins with the CNMA (UK) Meeting at 7:30 PM, hosted by Paulette Lewis, MBE, President of CNMA (UK). Paulette, a respected leader and advocate for nursing excellence, will guide attendees through key association updates and community initiatives.

Following the meeting, at 8:00 PM, the main presentation will be hosted by Yinglen Butt, Liaison Officer for the Commonwealth Nurses & Midwives Federation. With her experience and dedication to leadership development, Yinglen will set the stage for an inspiring discussion on nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders.

The event features three distinguished speakers who bring a wealth of expertise and experience from across the NHS and healthcare leadership sectors:

• Lisa Greene – Head of Midwifery, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
  Lisa brings her deep experience in midwifery leadership and her passion for mentoring future healthcare professionals.

• Vinice Thomas – Director of Nursing and Quality, NHSE
  A senior leader known for her excellence in clinical governance and quality improvement, Vinice will share valuable insights on effective leadership in modern healthcare.

• Jennifer Pearson – Head of Nursing, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital
  Jennifer’s leadership journey and commitment to excellence highlight the importance of resilience, compassion, and innovation in nursing.
