Councillors share support to save the Welsh Harp

The campaign seeks to stop Barnet Council approving the planning application with Barratt Homes to build 2000 units at Welsh Harp. Councillors, residents and activists from Brent and Harrow visited Hendon Town Hall to present a petition of just under 1000 names to Barnet Council objecting to the plans.
Cllr Vernon said: “It has great working with local people to put pressure on Barratt Homes and Barnet Council on their proposed plans which is putting profit before people. There is increasing interest from Brent Council to take up my suggestion to explore the idea of doing a health impact assessment on Barratts Homes’ plans. The public health considerations are paramount along with the ecological concerns.”
