The 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference 2026

Jamaica is preparing to welcome its global community back home for the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, taking place June 14–18, 2026, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St. James. Under the theme “Connected by Heritage,” the conference aims to bring together Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica from across the world to strengthen connections, collaborate on national development, and celebrate shared cultural roots.

The Jamaica Diaspora Conference is one of the country’s most significant gatherings for overseas Jamaicans, government leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and cultural ambassadors. Held every two years, the conference creates a space where the global Jamaican community can engage directly with the nation’s development priorities while building stronger economic, social, and cultural partnerships.

Why the Diaspora Conference Matters

Jamaica’s diaspora plays an essential role in the country’s progress. From remittances and investment to advocacy and knowledge exchange, Jamaicans abroad contribute significantly to the nation’s growth. The conference provides a structured platform for these contributions to evolve into long-term collaborations and impactful initiatives.

Rebuilding and Moving Forward

The 2026 conference comes at an especially important time as Jamaica continues its recovery from Hurricane Melissa. As the country rebuilds and strengthens its resilience, the role of the diaspora becomes even more critical.

By participating in conversations around rebuilding, economic growth, and national development, diaspora members have the opportunity to contribute ideas, resources, and partnerships that can help accelerate Jamaica’s recovery and long-term progress.
