Black Health Inequalities Summit 2026
The Black Health Inequalities Summit 2026 will take place on 20 April 2026 at The Mermaid, London, running from 09:00 to 16:00, followed by a networking reception. The event is organised to address ongoing disparities in health outcomes affecting Black communities and to focus on practical, system-level solutions.
Confirmed Keynote Speakers
The summit will feature three keynote speakers with expertise across healthcare, policy, and advocacy:
- Professor Ngozi Edi-Osagie
- Professor Patrick Vernon OBE FrHistS
- Professor Dame Lesley Regan DBE
Their combined experience spans clinical leadership, public health policy, and long-standing work in addressing racial inequalities in healthcare.
Focus of the Summit
The summit is designed to move beyond awareness and focus on:
- The gap between healthcare policy and lived experience
- Structural factors contributing to unequal health outcomes
- The role of culturally informed care in improving access and trust
- Practical interventions that can be implemented across healthcare systems
It brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and community organisations to share knowledge and develop actionable approaches.
