Nominations Now Open: Governor-General’s Diaspora Achievement Awards 2026

The Governor-General’s Diaspora Achievement Awards (GGAA-D) 2026 are officially open for nominations, inviting exceptional individuals from the diaspora to be recognised for their contributions, impact, and leadership.

This prestigious initiative celebrates members of the diaspora residing in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, shining a spotlight on individuals who are making meaningful differences within their communities and beyond.

Celebrating Excellence Across Generations

To ensure a diverse range of achievements are recognised, the awards are presented across two categories:

  • Under 35 years of age
  • 35 years and over

These categories aim to honour both emerging changemakers and established leaders, acknowledging excellence at every stage of one’s journey.

Application Process

Applicants and nominators are required to complete the official nomination form, accessible via the link below:

Why This Matters

The GGAA-D serves as more than just an awards programme—it is a platform to recognise the influence and achievements of diaspora communities across the globe. By celebrating individuals who are driving change, fostering innovation, and strengthening cultural connections, the awards highlight the vital role of the diaspora in shaping global narratives.
