Churchill Fellows Recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026

The Churchill Fellowship has congratulated eight Fellows who have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026 for their outstanding contributions across a wide range of fields.

Among those honoured is Sir Professor Patrick Vernon, who received a knighthood for services to racial equality, and Dame Crystal Oldman, awarded a DBE for services to nursing. Six other Fellows were recognised with MBEs and a BEM for their work in theatre, wildlife health, sailing, suicide prevention, tree conservation and prisoner rehabilitation.

These honours reflect the remarkable breadth of expertise, innovation and public service found across the Churchill Fellowship community. From advancing social justice and healthcare to protecting the environment and supporting vulnerable communities, the recipients have made a lasting impact both in the UK and beyond.
