• The prevalence of the Criminal Justice System (sectioning and police intervention) and Reform of the Mental Health Act

• The presence of support networks in more diverse areas compared to less diverse areas & signposting for those who need help

18.00 – 18.15: A talk with Simon Pattison

• Inequalities in the support for people with mental ill health, what we know, what we don’t know and what we can do about it

18.25 – 18.55: Panel discussion on the question: ‘Mental health within the BAME community intersects across various identities. How do we approach the issue of taboo?’
