Event: Tuesday 25th June – Making Changes – Having an Impact

Making Changes – Having an Impact

We are thrilled to invite you to the launch of CVS Brent’s Community Champions and Health Inequalities Projects.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event and together, making a positive impact in the lives of many.

CVS Brent’s Community Champions Project, supported by Macmillan Cancer Support, aims to develop a better understanding of local cancer services ensuring they are appropriate and relevant to the diverse communities they serve. Early, appropriate health services will help to build trust, improve treatments and improve life chances of residents.

The Health Inequalities project marks the beginning of an innovative collaboration with the new Brent African Caribbean Alliance (BACA), and seeks to foster engagement strategies that strengthen minoritised community members, enhancing their influence, autonomy, and their ability to effect change in health policy.

Volunteers form the core of our new initiatives. We eagerly anticipate the chance to unveil these projects to you and unite in addressing the health challenges faced by minoritised communities in Brent and its neighbouring regions.

Our launch will feature social commentator, campaigner and cultural historian, Professor Patrick Vernon OBE, who has been honoured for his services to the reduction of health inequalities for ethnic minorities.

There are limited spots available, so register today to secure your place. We look forward to seeing you there!
