Event: Tuesday 2nd July – Bloomberg Windrush 76
Bloomberg Windrush 76
HMT Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury docks on 21 June 1948, bringing more than 800 passengers from the Caribbean. This was a historic moment that saw mass migration redefine and shape modern Britain. On 2nd July we will celebrate its 76th anniversary, where communities come together to celebrate the contributions of the Windrush Generation and their families in the UK.
Join us in person for a Windrush 76 conversation at Bloomberg’s London office. The conversation will be an inspiring and interactive panel, featuring Kareen Cox, designer of the Windrush Stamp; Patrick Vernon OBE – Social commentator & Windrush Campaigner; Lisa Anderson – Managing Director of Black Cultural Archives; Marie Garrison, Patron of Black Cultural Archives, and moderated by Sonia Meggie, Bloomberg D&I Business Partner for News & Media.
We will close the evening with refreshments and networking.
